Children's growth, general principles of a healthy diet and the consequences of a suboptimal weight will be discussed. Nutrition and feeding challenges commonly found among children with autism spectrum disorders will also be discussed.

  • Andrea Heyman, MS, RD, LDN

    Andrea Heyman, MS, RD, LDN is a nutritionist with Kennedy Krieger Institute specializing in weight management. She is interested in developing materials and methods to help individuals with disabilities engage in implementing healthy eating habits.
