Dr. Harrison serves as staff psychiatrist at the Family Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she is a consultant to the "Birth to Five" team. She is the Clinical Director of the Behavioral Health Integration in Primary Pediatric Care program, which provides consultation and training to pediatric providers throughout the state of Maryland.
Dr. Harrison received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Harvard University and her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School (now Geisel School of Medicine). She completed an internship in Pediatrics at the Floating Hospital, New England Medical Center, Boston. Her adult psychiatry residency training was at the University of Maryland and Child Psychiatry training at Hopkins, where she was chief resident. She completed a National Health Services payback in Southern Maryland and was on the faculty at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. before coming to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2002. There, she served Director of Clinical Preschool Programs at Johns Hopkins Hospital Bayview and Medical Director of Child Community Psychiatry Programs at Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore.
Dr. Harrison’s research interests focus on infant and preschool mental health training and interventions, school and community-based services, and behavioral health integration into primary care.
