KKI TFC KIDnet Outcome Monitoring System
The KIDnet system is a clinical needs assessment, functional outcome measure, and therapeutic effectiveness database used by the State of Maryland and clinical foster care providers (Kennedy Krieger Institute Therapeutic Foster Care -- KKI TFC) under the auspices of University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Children's Outcome Management Center (COMC). KIDnet data is encrypted and sent electronically to the COMC. Clinicians and program administrators have real-time access to their treatment cases at KKI TFC through the KIDnet system. We are requesting permission to obtain de-identified aggregate data from the KKI TFC KIDnet system to report at national conferences and use for publication. Research questions include analysis of program participant demographics, participant need, participant function and service utilization and program effectiveness.
In summary, clinical data will be collected prospectively and be available to clinicians in real time for clinical evaluation. Aggregate de-identified data for analysis and research presentation will only be conducted on a retrospective basis. All data collected are for clinical purposes. There is NO additional data collection or procedures that will be conducted strictly for research purposes.
