Utility of the Immediate and Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT) test with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Adolescents

Principal Investigator: Jennifer Reesman

The present research seeks to examine whether the ImPACT test provides an accessible means of assessment for adolescents who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, as this tool has not previously been systematically evaluated for use with this population. The research will be conducted via analysis of two, de-identified datasets; the first being a de-identified dataset of baseline ImPACT test administrations of deaf and hard-of-hearing adolescents and the second dataset being age and gender matched controls extracted from a de-identified normative database which was used to generate age and gender based norms for this test.
