Growth References for Children with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy

These population specific references for children with quadriplegic cerebral palsy will facilitate uniformity in your clinical appraisal of growth and nutritional status. Deviations in growth may be the first or only signal of a more serious underlying health problem that requires assessment. This chart will also help you to educate families about the issue of growth and aid in evaluating the efficacy of your intervention strategies.

Miles for Megan

Please join us on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at Padonia Park Club, located at 12006 Jenifer Road in Cockeysville, MD, for the second annual Miles For Megan 5k and 1k Family Fun Walk.

All proceeds will benefit the Miracle for Megan Foundation, an organization created to raise awareness, increase research, and develop optimal treatment methods for people with genetic disorders.

Phelps Center for Cerebral Palsy Programs & Services

The Phelps Center is comprised of the following three programs. Initial evaluations are done in the Neurodevelopmental Medicine Program (NMP), where diagnostic recommendations and rehabilitative treatment plans are established. Depending on the evaluation, plans can include follow-up in the NMP, referral to the Movement Disorders Program (MDP) or Intrathecal Baclofen Program (ITBP) or referral to other programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute or Johns Hopkins.
