The Summer Works Program is a community outreach program to help youth gain a positive work-based learning experience. Kennedy Krieger is supportive, compassionate, and committed to taking an active part in helping its community’s youth become responsible, skilled, motivated, career-ready adults. Our goal is to hire high school or undergraduate college students seeking real life experience related to their career interests.
The Summer Works Program will run from May 19, 2025, to September 26, 2025. The program can be structured into flexible 5-week periods or longer, allowing applicants and participating departments to decide on the schedule that best fits their needs. This flexibility enables participants to tailor their experience while ensuring that both the departments and students get the most out of the program.
We offer 2 distinct program options:
- Traditional Summer Employment (open to all students that meet criteria)
- Community Partnership Students. (Learn more about our current partnerships)
