Dan is the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at Kennedy Krieger Institute. He is responsible for the organizational oversight of workforce development, benefits, compensation, employee relations and legislative and regulatory compliance. In addition, Dan leads the Institutes major organizational development initiatives inclusive of the Institute’s Leadership Development Programs, its Performance Management Systems, and is a member of the Institute’s Neurodiversity Steering Committee.
Dan originally began his management career in the for-profit sector leading multi-million dollar big box retail operations in Buffalo, Boston, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. His talent for organizational development and leading change ultimately led him into the profession of Human Resource Management. Dan has been with Kennedy Krieger Institute for 16 years.
Dan earned his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego, and his Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Dan holds the Human Resources industry’s most prestigious certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and also the Society of Human Resource Management esteemed designation of Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
