Chelsea Mongan is a pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist at the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSITM). She specializes in child development with a special interest and focus in autism.
Education
Mongan began her career in the healthcare field in 2004 when she became a registered nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from La Salle University in 2015 and a Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Primary Care, from The University of Pennsylvania in 2019. At The University of Pennsylvania, she focused on autism spectrum disorder as a minor, reflecting her commitment to understanding and supporting autistic children. She moved from Philadelphia to Maryland to begin her career in developmental pediatrics at the University of Maryland. She joined Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2023 and continued her professional development by obtaining her Pediatric Mental Health Specialist certification in 2024.
