About
Gabrielle Blackman is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and the medical director of the Kennedy Krieger Institute School Program. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Blackman began her schooling at George Washington University, where she received a Bachelor's of Science in Zoology in 1992. She attended medical school at Vanderbilt University, earning her medical degree in 1996. She continued her training in General Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University from 1996 to 1999. She completed her fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital program from 1999 to 2001, serving as a chief resident from 2000-2001. She joined Kennedy Krieger Institute in the summer of 2001, working in the school programs as a staff psychiatrist and later as Senior Psychiatrist at the Fairmount school campus.
