About
Dr. Heather Burke is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Education
Dr. Burke completed her medical education at the University of Central Florida, followed by a general psychiatry residency at the University of South Florida. She went on to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Brown University. Her clinical interests include psychiatric disorders in the medically ill, delirium, and somatic symptom and related disorders.
Research
Dr. Burke’s research interests focus on the interface between medical and psychiatric symptoms in hospitalized children and adults.
