About
Jessica De Curtis Fernandez, MD is part of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and serves as an attending physician at Kennedy Krieger Institute and at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She participates in general rehabilitation clinics as well as multiple specialty clinics at Kennedy Krieger. She cares for many patient populations including individuals with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, leukodystrophy, osteogenesis imperfecta, Angelman syndrome and skeletal dysplasia. She has a special interest in health care policy, transition of care and advocating for people with disabilities.
Education
During her training, Dr. Fernandez went to the University of Tampa where she received a BS in Biology and went to medical school at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She completed a combined residency program in both Pediatrics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University hospital and Nemours Children’s Hospital.
