About
Dr. Lauren Burton is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and provides clinical services in the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health and related programs. She is also an instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Education
Dr. Burton completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University with a major in psychology and double minor in biology and Spanish. She earned her medical degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry residency training at West Virginia University Ruby Memory Hospital. She went on to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has training in several evidence-based psychotherapy modalities including parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
