About

Dr. William Silver is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Kennedy Krieger Institute and instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Silver practices at the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSITM) as well as Kennedy Krieger’s Krieger's Center for Developmental Behavioral Health (DBH) neuropsychiatry clinic, where he treats children and young adults with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and mood disorders associated with neurologic conditions like epilepsy. 

Education

Dr. Silver attended medical school at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. Following medical school, he completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi in 2021. After residency he completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship where he served as a chief fellow at the University of Florida in Jacksonville Florida in 2023. Dr. Silver’s interest in autism, epilepsy, and other neurodevelopmental disorders lead him to complete an additional year of training at Kennedy Krieger’s Institute’s Developmental Neuropsychiatry Scholar’s Program in 2024. He is currently on faculty at CASSI and DBH neuropsychiatry clinic.

Research

Dr. Silver’s research interests are on the overlap between neurologic disorders and behavioral presentations with particular emphasis on epilepsy and behavior.
