The F.M Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging is a brain imaging facility where scientists, neuroscientists and clinicians collaborate to study the function and structure of the brain.
We house an assortment of state-of-the-art technologies that are available for use by the research community, including MR systems, physiologic monitoring systems and functional MRI machines. Among our imaging systems is the 7.0T MRI System, one of only 35 ultra high-field MRI systems worldwide, and one of 18 in the United States.
For prospective and current users of the Kirby Center looking to learn more about our facilities and resources, visit our User Support page for information about scheduling, training services and available software packages.
If you are interested in participating in a research study, view our list of ongoing studies. Whether you volunteer for a specific study, or as a healthy control subject, you will be making a great contribution to the understanding of how our brains work.
