About
Amy Kakitis-Fawley has over 25 years of business experience including a background in insurance administration, student admissions for undergraduate and graduate students, office management and standardized testing program coordination. Of those years, almost 15 have been at Kennedy Krieger Institute where she helped to establish and coordinate the Spinal Cord Injury Medicine (SCIM) Fellowship Program for many years and then went on to serve as the Supervisor for the Training Department at Kennedy Krieger Institute. As the Financial Analyst for The Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training (The Center for Diversity) and The Office of Health, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (O-HEID) she provides fiscal coordination and oversight, as well as, budgetary and administrative support to the Project Director for all grants and departmental budgets. She works closely with internal Research Grant Administration, Research Compliance Officers, Training Administration, Human Resources and Finance, as well as, external Grant Partners and Grantors. She is also responsible for the drafting and ratification of all new contractual agreements including for sub-site partners, consultants and mentors, as well as, the renewal of all existing contracts.
Education
Ms. Kakitis-Fawley received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in studio art from Smith College in Northampton MA and a portfolio in graphic design from the Maine College of Art in Portland ME.
