Maryland Rebuilds Role: Content Development
Kristine Black, EdD is a preschool teacher with over 20 years’ experience teaching in a blended preschool classroom in a large Midwestern suburban school district. She is an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Black has designed and taught a course in children’s play development and Developmentally Appropriate Practice in the preschool classroom. Dr. Black has assisted in developing her school district’s preschool curriculum and participates in numerous leadership roles such as instructional leadership team and MTSS committee at the preschool level.
Dr. Black has co-presented on MTSS at the CASE conference in 2019. She collaborated in the development of the MTSS for Young Children videos, and will be presenting at the MTSS Summit in Wichita, Kansas in September 2024.
