Over the past 25 years, Mark Furst has been a partner, advocate and friend of the children and families served by the Kennedy Krieger Institute and its affiliate organization, the Early Childhood Development and Education Center, formerly PACT: Helping Children with Special Needs.

During his time on PACT’s Board of Directors, Mark shared with us his vision of establishing a fund to make care affordable for families at PACT, and to ensure opportunity and accessibility to the World of Care medical child care program for all children in need, whatever their family’s income or insurance coverage. It is in this spirit, and in honor of Mark’s tremendous generosity and dedication over the years, that we establish the Mark and Sandy Furst Scholarship Fund for the children and families in the Early Childhood Development and Education Center's medical child care. Child scholarships provided through the Fund will realize Mark’s vision for multiple families, thus charting a positive trajectory for children who would likely otherwise face tremendous challenges in their young lives and beyond.

We are honored to establish the Mark and Sandy Furst Scholarship Fund in honor of Mark and Sandy, and to further their work on behalf of the Early Childhood Development and Education Center. As always, we are grateful to the Furst family for their steadfast support of our children, our families and our future.
