Kennedy Krieger Institute nurses, nursing technicians and unit clerks play a key role in patient care, but we also are involved in our community. Check out some of our recent activities that support our patients and families.
Festival of the Trees
Unit Clerks, Nursing Technicians, RNS, Care Managers, Nurse Educators, and Nursing Leadership took to the stage at Festival of the Trees to sing holiday songs for the thousands of people who come to see the creatively decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses. Funds raised from this holiday event are used for the children with disabilities and their families who are served by Kennedy Krieger.
Baltimore Running Festival
The following nurses ran in the 2023 Baltimore Running Festival as part of Team Kennedy Krieger, helping to raise money for the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury and funds to aid in the training of patients with disabilities who participate in the races: Katie Sewell, Maddie DePaul, Hannah Riffey, Courtney Furrey, Hannah Andrews, and Jaclyn Greeson.
Ronald McDonald House
The following nurses took time to prepare a home cooked dinner for patients and families at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore: Pam Melvin, Lynn Galyen, LeAnn Sabb, Sarah Mayhew, Miranda Zeng, Katy Morrill, Vernona Lynn, Kyra Williams and Shellie Williams
