Participate in research projects to advance science related to the care of children and adults with disabilities
Kennedy Krieger nurses participate in a wide variety of research projects to advance knowledge and science related to the care of children and adults with disabilities. The research nurses assume responsibility for coordinating the specialized tests and study appointments necessary for research projects, collecting information related to the research protocol, and assisting patients’ family members while patients are participating in research projects.
Nurses also serve as investigators in a number of research and performance improvement projects, present clinical and research studies at research conferences, and have the opportunity to participate in research-related activities, including a publication committee, an evidenced-based-practice committees and projects.
