Goddard School studentsWe would like to thank the Goddard School of Bel Air for donating $1,221 to the Kennedy Krieger Institute Down Syndrome Clinic and Research Center.  In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, the Goddard School partnered with staff and families to host the “There’s Nothing Down About It” fundraiser, which ran from March 1st – 27th. Every child, staff member and participating parent wore yellow and blue in support of children with Down syndrome, while the school photographed every child and hung blue and yellow chain links with photos of each child in the hallways of the school. As Goddard families and staff members made donations, the chain links grew – they eventually went around the entire school. To conclude the successful fundraiser, on Tuesday, March 21st, the school celebrated with a special show and group pictures. With the Goddard School’s help, the Down Syndrome Clinic can continue to advance its mission to help each individual reach his or her full potential nd participate as fully as possible in all aspects of family, school and community life.
