Training Opportunities
Master's Level and Undergraduate Level Training
This program offers a unique and enriched training experience to master's level and undergraduate level social work students. All field instructors are licensed in Maryland as Licensed Certified Social Workers-Clinical (LCSW-C).
Master's Level Training: Virtual Groups
CBITS Over Telehealth Provides Empowerment (COPE) is a 15-week training program designed to virtually deliver an evidence-based group mental health intervention to adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who have experienced stressful life events.
Master's Level Internship: Trauma
The Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress at Kennedy Krieger Institute provides a high-quality and comprehensive training program to master's level social work and counseling students.
Master's Level Internship: Therapeutic Foster Care
This internship provides second year students in their Master’s program an opportunity to work with families and children with diverse emotional, behavioral, developmental, medical needs from diverse populations, age ranges, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
MACRO Therapeutic Foster Care Internship
This program provides well-rounded and rigorous training for social work interns from various universities. The vision of the MACRO internship is to provide an opportunity for learning the practice of child welfare which integrates systems and clinical knowledge and skills necessary in meeting the needs of families and children served.
Post-Master's Fellowship
Psychiatric social work post-master’s fellows receive focused training in the interdisciplinary, evidence-based treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with mental health conditions.
