Our Role
Working with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, social workers support individuals and their families by helping them cope with medical, emotional and developmental challenges that affect their functioning and relationships.
Social workers at Kennedy Krieger are active members of inpatient, outpatient, community and school teams providing a range of services:
- Clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Development of individualized treatment plans
- Individual, family and group therapies
- Care coordination and discharge planning
- Education and training of staff members and trainees
