As always, it’s very busy at the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD), and the remainder of the year will not slow down! On September 13, People On the Go Maryland (POG) held a conference to mark 30 years of grassroots advocacy and legislative policy work. The previous week, MCDD co-sponsored the motivational Women’s Leadership Initiative breakfast, which attracted more than 116 faculty members, staff members and trainees for a rich discussion on mentoring. You can read more about both events in this edition of our quarterly newsletter.
The MCDD retreat is always an important event on our calendar. We engaged in reflection, team-building exercises, and a cultural and linguistic competency activity.
Finally, be sure to read Dr. Mahone’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) Corner to learn more about the IDDRC’s research recruitment registries, both external and internal.
