The Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD) is delighted to welcome new staff member Eve Lukowski and volunteer Lisa Banks, JD, MPH.
Lukowski joined the MCDD in January as the administrative coordinator. She fills the position vacated by Tylea Powell, who moved to Houston, Texas, to pursue her career as a registered behavior technician. A Maryland native, Lukowski graduated from Bucknell University in 2018 with a business degree in managing for sustainability and a minor in children’s studies. Her first position after graduation was planning fundraisers and other events to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. In her spare time, she volunteers with Child Life Services at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. She will attend graduate school at Towson University in fall 2020 to pursue a master’s degree in child life, administration and family collaboration.
Banks, who moved from California, is new to Maryland. She has a master’s degree in public health from The George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health, and a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.
Banks is volunteering with Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy, and Law) two days a week, and is taking the Maryland bar exam in July 2020.
