The website of the Simons Powering Autism Research (SPARK) ASD research project recently published two articles on suicide prevention and autism spectrum disorder (ASD): “Autism and the Troubling Risk of Suicide” and “Working to Prevent Suicide in Youth with Autism.”
Both articles are written by Marina Sarris, web content administrator for the MCDD’s Autism Research and Engagement Core, and both focus on the suicidality research of Paul Lipkin, MD, Kennedy Krieger’s director of medical outpatient services, and his colleagues at Kennedy Krieger.
September was National Suicide Prevention Month, and World Suicide Prevention Day was September 10.
