Happy new year, readers! From the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD), we wish you a great year ahead. We invite you to read our quarterly newsletter to learn about all the latest news from the MCDD, Kennedy Krieger Institute and the community.
The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) recently held its annual conference in Washington, D.C. Many members of the MCDD team attended and presented at the conference. Check out the recap article in the MCDD News section for more details about this event.
Several MCDD trainees attended Maryland’s 34th Suicide Prevention Conference on October 12. This year’s theme was “Connect, Response, Heal and Thrive.” The virtual conference examined innovative ways to respond to and address suicide within communities. The experience was informative and inspiring for some of our trainees, who share their reflections in articles found in this newsletter.
Be sure to check out the COVID-19 Resources section for details of Kennedy Krieger’s COVID-19 Clinic and information about the latest vaccines and boosters.
We hope you find these resources helpful as we all continue to work together to help individuals with disabilities learn, grow and thrive. Happy new year!
