Kennedy Krieger's International Center for Spinal Cord Injury provides a full continuum of care with its wellness program, "Life Through Motion."

Most people can simply walk into a gym, pay a membership fee, and begin using the exercise equipment. We take for granted the ability to participate in regular physical activity. But, when you have a physical disability the average community gym is not equipped to address your needs. Regular exercise can have a tremendous impact on both your health and quality of life and a disability should not limit your opportunities. For that reason, Kennedy Krieger's International Center for Spinal Cord Injury provides a full continuum of care with its wellness program, "Life Through Motion."

The program offers you the opportunity to engage in regular physical activity to help build and improve your strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and cardiovascular health while boosting your overall well-being and confidence in a fun and social environment.

Our program provides a variety of exercise options including land-based exercise equipment, functional electrical stimulation, and cardio-pulmonary activities to enhance your quality of life. In addition, we also offer an independent aquatics program, weight management program, group fitness classes, and personal training.
