Travel
The local airport is Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) airport, located approximately 30 minutes (12 miles) from the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins by car. Amtrak train lines also service the city through Baltimore's Penn Station. Taxicabs and rideshares (e.g., Uber, Lyft) are the advised method for travel within the city of Baltimore. Center physician's offices are located in various buildings on the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins medical campuses. Your pre-visit packet will specify the location of each office at which you have a scheduled appointment. Parking at Kennedy Krieger
For visitors to the Kennedy Krieger Broadway location, free parking is available at the front entrance of the Kennedy Krieger Institute on Broadway. Valet parking is available for visitors and patients and visitors with mobility support needs at 801 Broadway, 1741 Ashland Avenue and 707 Broadway. The service is provided from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Visitors to the Kennedy Krieger location at Fairmount may use the garage conveniently located in front of the building, which is accessible from Fayette Street. During registration prior to your visit, you will receive more information on parking fees and locations.

Lodging
Hotels
Guest Services at Johns Hopkins provides the best means for reserving hotel rooms and ensuring a reduced, Johns Hopkins rate. The price for a one-night stay ranges from approximately $80-$160. Many hotels offer shuttle service, cab vouchers, or limos.

Pediatric family lodging
Two organizations offer low-cost lodging to pediatric patients and their families. Referrals are required to stay at either of these locations. Contact us for more information about referrals.
- The Children’s House provides a family-centered, supportive residence for children receiving medical care at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Their purpose is to keep families together in the midst of medical crisis and provide mutual support. For more information, please contact The Children’s House at (410) 614-2560.
- The Ronald McDonald House has been providing "home away from home" guest facilities for families with children receiving treatments at hospitals for over 25 years. The Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore is only a short drive from Johns Hopkins Hospital. Patients ages 21 years or younger and their families are eligible to stay if they are traveling from more than 50 miles away, and have a direct referral.
